Gowan Brae Golf & Country Club is a semi-private 18-hole facility that has hosted six national championships along with numerous provincial and Atlantic events. Established in 1958, the property features a full practice facility, a 7-hole short course, and multiple practice greens. The clubhouse includes a full-service restaurant and a 200-person banquet room. Our recently renovated Pro Shop is fully stocked and includes two Trackman Golf simulators for year-round access.

Job Summary
Gowan Brae is seeking a motivated golfer interested in golf operations and customer service. Serving 600 adult and 150 junior members, the successful candidate will grow in a fast-paced environment. There is high demand for lessons, providing a significant opportunity for a new professional.
Responsibilities
  • Responsibilities include daily pro shop operations, managing junior golf program, and assisting with corporate tournaments.
  • The candidate will work alongside Head Golf Professional Chad Townsend and Assistant Professional Andrew Wood.
Qualifications
  • PGA of Canada Member or Apprentice in good standing.
  • Strong work ethic and flexibility with hours.
  • Prior teaching experience is an asset but not required.
  • Bilingualism is an asset.
  • Experience in retail and proficiency with Lightspeed/ Chronogolf is an asset.
  • A team player with excellent communication skills focused on the member experience.
Compensation
  • Weekly salary: $800–$900 (based on experience).
  • 100% of lesson revenue.
