About
Originally from Venezuela, Andrés Chávez moved to Canada in 2018 with the ambition of building a better future and pursuing new opportunities. What began as a journey of personal growth eventually became a passion for the golf industry and a dream of becoming a PGA of Canada Professional.
Over the past six years, Andrés has built his career from the ground up, working at respected golf facilities across Alberta, including Pinebrook Golf & Country Club, The Winston Golf Club, and Valley Ridge Golf Club. Through roles in Outside Services, team leadership, and Golf Shop operations, he has developed a strong appreciation for the people, dedication, and teamwork that make the golf industry special.
After years of dedication, hard work, and perseverance, Andrés achieved one of his greatest personal goals by successfully completing his playing requirements and earning his place in the PGA of Canada.
Today, Andrés continues his professional journey at Valley Ridge Golf Club and 365 GOLF in Calgary, combining his experience in golf operations with teaching, player development, and TrackMan technology. He has also earned certifications through Callaway University in product knowledge and club fitting, reflecting his commitment to continuous professional development.
Fluent in Spanish and English, Andrés is particularly passionate about making golf more accessible to the Spanish-speaking community while welcoming golfers of all backgrounds and skill levels.
With a strong interest in international golf, Andrés hopes to expand his professional experience beyond Canada, connecting with golf communities around the world while continuing to contribute to the growth of the game in Canada.
For Andrés, becoming a PGA Professional is not the finish line. It is the beginning of a lifelong journey dedicated to learning, teaching, and sharing the game he loves.
